SET UP YOUR CHILD'S FIRST DAY

Here is what happens:

1. Call and arrange for a visit together with your child.
We can set up this visit to fit your schedule.

2. If you decide to sign up, then I  will give you paperwork to be submitted.
These documents are required by my licensing agency, including our     contract for your child's enrollment in the program.
Just as I myself have a file that documents my Medical Clearance and     Fingerprint Clearance, I must keep a file on every child who attends Montessori Kids Studio.

3. After submitting all the paperwork, we will set up your child's first day.
First day is a "Try-it-out" day (It's Free) to make sure we have a good fit.
If it is a good fit, then you sign the contract, pay the first month's fees, and arrange for your child's first official day of attendance.

Typical Afternoon

We begin in the Outdoor Classroom (weather permitting) with a healthy picnic snack. (provided free of charge)

Then we perform Montessori-style "Works" in the garden, such as caring for the environment, birdwatching, gardening, nature journaling, wood working, and much more.

Next, it's time to go inside for our group meeting.

Each afternoon group time focuses on the theme for the week and is determined by the day of the week.

Monday, I introduce the music concept and the art element featuring famous artists or regions of the world.

Tuesday, we explore drama and nature activities in our Outdoor Classroom (or active play indoors) that celebrates Monday's famous artist & composer.

Wednesday, we focus on Language Arts that complement the Music and Art concepts of the week.

Thursday, I feature Montessori Math activities that tie in with the concepts of the week.

Friday, I present activities

celebrating cultures and creatures from around the world along with studies in the physical sciences and handicrafts.

Children are encouraged to explore all the shelf activities that interest them at their own pace throughout the afternoon. This can also include simply relaxing with a book or having a little snack break anytime.

When desired, the child can join me in the many individualized lessons I will be offering.
